The Academic Business consulting Group, LLC was founded in 2003. For
the past three years the Group has been consulting with higher education in a
number of projects. The list includes:
 | Developed a business plan, including a financial model, for a proposed
Dental Hygiene program at a regional university campus. |
 | Created an economic assessment of all campus nursing programs for a community
college system's 13 nursing programs across the state. The assessment included:
 | Creation of an on-line survey of Nursing Deans and campus
educational officers for developing a S.W.O.T. (Strengths, Weaknesses,
Opportunities, and Threats) report submitted to the top level
administrators.. |
 | Creation of a programmatic financial model for program improvement
and necessary funding for the next four years at all campuses.. |
 | Creation of a small peer-group of community college nursing programs
across the country to develop benchmarks for program funding. |

 | The Senior Partner has participated in four Colorado Performance
Excellence (CPEx)/Baldrige organizational examinations. These have
included businesses, educational, and health care organizations. They
have been at three levels of review, namely; High Plains, Foothills, and

 | Developed financial models for funding of programs at a university
campus:.
 | Model development was under a contract with the Vice Chancellor for
Administration and Finance in cooperation with the Division of Resource
Management and the Office of Institutional Research. |
 | Models were created for the College of Business, College of
Engineering and Applied Sciences, and the College of Letters, Arts and
Science. |

The Group has limited the number of contracts to ensure that each client
received a maximum amount of value for their consulting dollar.

 | Developed a business plan, including financial model, for a Professional
Golf Association approved Golf Management program at a regional university. |
 | Developed a financial model for campus housing that was included in a
revenue bond offering at a university. |
 | Developed financial plans for the lease-purchase of a major
classroom/office building at a university. |
 | Assisted in the development of management information systems across a
multi-campus research university
 | The systems included, but was not limited to: academic program
performance, staffing patterns, enrollments and credit hour production,
and institutional characteristics. |
 | Project included creating methodologies to collect, classify, and
interpret data to provide information to top level administrators. |

 | Created a tuition revenue projection model at a regional university. |
 | Developed reporting processes to provide longitudinal student
information from a regional university to the statewide higher education
coordinating office. |
